WStore to reel in VARs

Online reseller begins recruiting its own channel

Online reseller WStore has started officially recruiting resellers and hopes to have over 700 on its books in the coming months.

Tony Price, managing director at WStore told CRN the move made sense because the firm already works with around 300 small resellers.

"We have some who buy from us, and some that we partner collaboratively with. We have now enhanced our trade division and are actively trying to increase the number of resellers we work with."

Price said the company hopes to have around 400 signed by the end of the month. He said WStore will offer assistance via credit lines, account managers and technical support.

Price denied that the firm was attempting to become a distributor. "We are simply helping out the smaller end of the SME reseller sector. We still deal with the bigger distributors ourselves and will continue to do so."

Alex Kaye, managing director at VAR AK Marketing, said: "It makes good business sense. It means another revenue stream from a different channel."
