Buzz of success at Nats
Norwood Adam Technical Services claims successful first year
Norwood Adam Technical Services (Nats) has claimed its first year of operations has been a success.
The service, which resellers can brand as their own, produced turnover of £614,000 for distributor Norwood Adam.
Nats also gained service partner accreditations from Foundry Networks and F5 Networks. It is the only firm to have achieved this in EMEA.
Norwood Adam started the service after outsourcing on-site maintenance for resellers.
Ian Gilbey, director of Nats at the distributor, said: "It has been a promising year. Our next job is to encourage customers to renew their contracts.
"It will take a while for people to get an understanding of the full benefits of this sort of service."
Gilbey said that between 40 and 50 resellers were signed up to the service, and that 270 support contracts had been signed.
Rachel Power, analyst at Canalys, said: "This is a positive start for Norwood Adam, but it's always a challenge to get repeat buys after the first year. Customer lock-in via the resellers will be further proof."
