Net-wrk wins contract with Camarthenshire NHS Trust
Welsh security VAR to design and implement the Trust's Microsoft Active Directory upgrade
Welsh security VAR net-wrk has won a lucrative deal with Camarthenshire NHS Trust to upgrade its Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory.
The contract, for an undisclosed amount, will see net-wrk design and implement the Trust’s Microsoft Active Directory upgrade from Windows 2000 Server to Windows 2003 Server.
Net-wrk is a Microsoft Certified Partner and has Network Infrastructure Solutions competency. It claimed the finished project will allow the Trust, which provides healthcare services to more than 170,000 citizens and employs more than 4,200 people, to reduce administration overheads and create a secure and scalable infrastructure.
The VAR has also been awarded a contract by the Trust to provide third-line technical support services covering its Microsoft infrastructure at West Wales General and Prince Philip Hospitals.
Paul Solloway, IT systems manager for Carmarthenshire NHS Trust, said: “We have been very impressed by net-wrk’s ability to understand our requirements.
“By working in partnership with both the technical and commercial teams, we will be able to create an efficient and scalable infrastructure, which will allow us to gain the full benefits of Microsoft’s technology.”
Tom Booth, sales director at net-wrk, said: “Our main priority is to provide cost-effective solutions, with broad functionality and a high return on investment to encourage business development and growth. Carmarthenshire NHS Trust recognised that it has the capabilities on its doorstep and chose to partner with us.”
He added that the VAR has invested heavily in product and systems training and has developed the necessary expertise to meet all of its customer requirements.
