Interoute bags Microsoft Gold

Network provider claims accreditation will support its new products that rely heavily on Microsoft technology

Network provider Interoute claims to have gained a competitive advantage in the channel by bagging Microsoft Gold status.

The UK-based firm, which claims to own Europe’s most advanced next-generation voice and data network, has also received Microsoft competencies in the areas of Networking Infrastructure Solutions, Advanced Infrastructure solutions and Information Worker Solution.

Interoute claimed the accolade gels with new products such as its Virtual Hosting platform and its Interoute One unified communications solutions, which are based heavily on Microsoft technology.

Gareth Williams, chief executive at Interoute, said in a statement: “We are extremely pleased to have attained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft partner programme. It gives us a great position in the channel for some of our latest offerings.”

Paul Flessner, senior vice president of the Server Applications at Microsoft, said: “Our industry partners allow us to deliver high-quality solutions and applications to our customers. And we’re always looking at ways to improve our relationships.”

Interoute’s pan-European network encompasses 54,000 kilometres of lit fibre and serves more than 12,000 customers, according to the firm.
