PlumData ripens strategy

Ambitious VAR appoints two new directors in one week

PlumData has begun expanding its team with the appointment of Andy Homer as finance director and John Barker as non-executive director.

The data storage and business continuity reseller has been armed with additional funds to create new positions and seek potential acquisitions to build £10m in revenue within three years.

Barker, said: "PlumData intends to leverage my skills working on corporate and commercial deals. We will meet our business objectives through a combination of organic growth and acquisition."

Leigh Clark, managing director at PlumData, said the new staff will help PlumData's push towards providing compliance consulting in verticals markets.

"Barker has 25 years of legal experience and will be working in an advisory role and will be key as we took for acquisitions. Homer will be able to advice on the financial implications of compliance," added Clark.
