Evesham says 'no' to Elonex
Integrator confirms it will not buy any assets of fallen system builder
Integrator Evesham Technology has confirmed that is not in the running to buy any of the assets of fallen system builder Elonex.
CRN reported last week that several channel players are hovering over Elonex after the firm went into administration. Deloitte & Touche, the administrator, is hoping to sell the company as a going concern.
However, Richard Austin, chairman of Evesham, told CRN: “Evesham is absolutely not interested in buying any part of Elonex.”
CRN understands that Centerprise has now emerged as the favourite to buy Elonex’s assets.
Sukh Rayat, vice-president, managing director Europe at Avnet Technology Solutions, said: “Centerprise has been entering many new sectors. This would help it diversify further.” Centerprise refused to comment.
