Cyber-Ark ready to take Risc
Vendor to sign pan-European contract with distie
Specialist security distributor Risc Technology is poised to sign a pan-European contract with vaulting technology vendor Cyber-Ark, and will begin selling its products next month.
Risc will work with the vendor, whose technology creates 'safe havens' for enterprises to protect or manage critical information, in an exclusive 12-month deal. The UK will be the first area to sell the solution.
Earlier this month CRN revealed that the vendor has established its first European base and is looking to make the switch from a single-tier to a two-tier channel strategy.
Kay Eggleston, UK country manager at Risc, which was recently bought by pan-European distributor NOXS, said: "This partnership will enable us to attract the top systems integrators in the country. The product addresses a niche area, has an exact target audience and will give VARs something unique to offer clients."
Calum Macleod, European business development director at Cyber-Ark, said: "This partnership confirms that our product is becoming mainstream and more customers are taking it on board. Risc is a Europe-wide organisation and will give us greater market reach."
