Ibex buys out Cisco reseller
Surrey reseller Ibex Cavendish has bought networking reseller Network Interlinks for an undisclosed sum.
Surrey reseller Ibex Cavendish has bought networking reseller Network Interlinks for an undisclosed sum.
Ibex specialises in Navision, Sage and Pegasus software, while Network Interlinks is a Cisco and Citrix specialist. Tony Nicholas, managing director of Ibex, said: "We needed the skills to support e-business in the future."
Business-to-business ecommerce will become the norm among Ibex customers, said Nicholas, and the reseller needs to expand its ability to sell and support the appropriate IT systems.
Nicholas noted that because Navision has expanded its product range, Ibex needs to acquire extra skills to understand the technology and the infrastructure to underpin it.
The Network Interlinks management team will stay in place and operate as an independent subsidiary.
Meanwhile, Rebus Group has made a £41.4 million offer for payroll specialist Moorepay. If the offer is accepted, Moorepay would be incorporated into Rebus Group subsidiary Rebus HR Management.
