Seddon pops up at LANDesk

Three months after leaving Trend Micro, Nigel Seddon takes on vendor sales director role

Welcome on board: LANDesk has tasked Seddon with spearheading channel and direct sales activities in the UK

Former Trend Micro UK chief Nigel Seddon has re-emerged in the channel at vendor LANDesk Software.

The PC life-cycle management and end-point protection specialist has tasked Seddon with overseeing its channel and direct sales strategy in his role as sales director for the UK, Netherlands and Sweden.

He left his role as UK managing director of Trend Micro in July following a six-year stint at the anti-virus vendor.

LANDesk claimed Seddon’s appointment was a “signal of its intent” to expand in the region following its acquisition by private equity house Thoma Bravo in September.

Andy Baldin, vice president EMEA sales at LANDesk, said: “These are exciting times for LANDesk. Following the recent acquisition, LANDesk is now in a position to focus on its core product offerings and consolidate our leadership position by developing additional strategies and propositions under Nigel’s guidance.

"I am convinced that Nigel’s motivation, expertise and knowledge will enable him to continue to drive success in the region."
