Samsung has also announced the impending launch of a new web portal for its printer and IT peripheral channel partners.
The vendor claimed the site was designed to “incentivise and educate” its distribution partners, as well as increase channel sales and bolster resellers’ product knowledge.
The site was designed by media agency Bluhalo. Matthew Clark, product manager at Samsung, was positive about its benefits for channel partners.
“The portal combines numerous elements that fit well with our business plan; the back office technology and site designs are exceptional. The site is a fun, interactive way for us to educate and reward the hardworking sales people.
“Bluhalo has been an integral supplier with an in-depth knowledge of the channel,” he said.
The portal is also linked to a password-protected deal registration site. Once a sale is made, partners register it on the site and sales are then converted into points. At the end of each month the top 25 channel sales people will be rewarded with a free holiday for achieving the highest number of sales.
