Pano Logic on hunt for partners
VDI specialist goes on a European recruitment drive
Chris Hammans: This is the perfect time to expand into Europe
Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) specialist Pano Logic is on the hunt for resellers following the launch of its first formal EMEA channel programme.
Pano Logic said it wants to recruit “at least” 120 UK and German partners with backgrounds in storage, networking and virtualisation.
Chris Hammans, managing director of Pano Logic, said its partners would play a central role in bringing its “zeroclient” VDI offerings to the European market.
“Analysts are saying 2010 will be a key inflection point for companies wanting to
deploy VDI solutions,” explained Hammans.
“The demand we have witnessed in EMEA already makes it clear that now is the perfect time to expand our reach into the region.”
Hammans, who recently left virtualisation specialist VMware to run Pano Logic’s European operations, added that new partners will benefit from deal registration, volume pricing advantages and pre- and post-sales training.
Richard Perkins, sales and marketing director at Pano Logic partner STL Technologies, said he is confident the vendor’s recruitment targets will be met.
“The zero-client solution has been a door-opening technology for us and represents a big pull-through opportunity for resellers because of the IT infrastructure needed to support it,” explained Perkins.
Adrian Sunderland, chief technical officer at Griffin Internet, added the company will have to work hard differentiate itself in the increasingly crowded European VDI market.
He said: “Pano Logic will need to demonstrate its benefits both to end-users and to resellers.”
