C2000 appoints licensing guru

Steve Vear unveiled as new software licensing manager

Broadliner Computer 2000 (C2000) has appointed Steve Vear as its new software licensing manager and is planning to make more investments in this area to support its resellers over the next year.

Underlining the move, the distributor has elevated the seniority of the role, making Vear a key member of its specialist Software business unit management team.

Prior to his new position Vear was corporate sales manger at the distributor, bringing seven years’ experience working for C2000 with him. Other past roles include customer services and account management.

Vear said: “Software licensing is one of the most difficult areas of the market for resellers to fully understand and it is vital that we not only make it as easy as possible for them to identify, place and process orders, but also ensure that every customer has the best possible experience that they can when they conduct software licensing business with Computer 2000.”

Vear is responsible for customer service and developing processes that aid the reseller when navigating through C2000’s vendor software licensing.
