Allied Telesis urges calm
Managing director not expecting revenue growth until next year
The credit crunch has hit the firm's revenue growth
Ethernet and IP access specialist Allied Telesis’ new UK managing director has asked for “time and rationality” to allow him to grow the vendor’s channel and survive the credit crunch intact.
Stefano Verginelli has been with the company for nine years and previously worked for IBM. He claimed that he wanted to recruit some larger integrators and double the company’s current UK reseller base of about 170.
He also revealed he was not anticipating any revenue growth until the second quarter of next year.
“I am a realistic man and I believe the market will not grow in the next six months,” he said.
“People are choosing where to invest their money very carefully. We will hold our position, control our business and grow when the market starts to grow.”
