DES does distribution deal with Sigma Software

Vendor signs second distributor to market data encryption product

Deal's done: Sigma has agreed to push the vendor's products to its resellers

Data security vendor Data Encryption Systems (DES) has entered into a distribution partnership with Sigma Software.

The deal marks the second distribution partnership that DES has embarked upon to help drive sales of its DESlock+ product. The vendor also works with Surrey-based VAD C-MI Labs.

The DESlock+ offering is designed to protect data stored on removable storage devices through the use of document and disk encryption.

David Tomlinson, managing director of DES, said: “We want to make sure that every UK business can easily source DESlock+ and joining forces with Sigma is a fantastic way of showcasing what we offer.”

Juliet Collis, managing director of Sigma, said the distributor is seeing a growing demand for data encryption devices.

She said: “[We are] seeing considerable demand for computer security devices as all organisations, both in the public and private sectors, become increasingly aware of their obligations in protecting data.”
