Secure archiving vendor unveils two appliances aimed at SMEs
Secure archiving vendor Nexsan has unveiled two appliances aimed at SMEs, which it has claimed will help channel partners enter new markets.
The Assureon SA and Assureon NX appliances are plug and play devices that provide simple archiving capabilities for smaller firms, branch offices and group departments, Nexsan claimed.
Andy Hill, sales director, northern Europe at Nexsan, said: “The fixed content data market is an area that is growing massively according to analyst reports, and firms face challenges in that area from an intellectual property and compliance perspective. These products have been designed with SMEs in mind, and our channel partners are snapping at our heels for pricing and availability.”
He said the vendor was also recruiting additional partners across the UK and Europe to help with its SME push, but in a ‘controlled’ manner.
John Greenwood, product sales director at VAR NCE, said: “We were interested in Assureon when the range first came along, but the problem for a lot of our customers was that it was almost too high end for them. These latest products are more customer friendly and have more appropriate capacity points to help smaller firms with compliance issues.”
