Telecoms reseller makes 40th stop on the acquisition trail with Pennycom purchase
Btesh: Chess will appoach increasingly significant targets in 2010
VAR Chess Telecom has made its 40th acquisition in six years with the purchase of Surrey-based telecommunications provider Pennycom.
David Pollock, chief executive at Chess, said its buyout of Pennycom is the first of many acquisitions it is planning to make this year.
Pollock explained: “2009 was a difficult year for businesses and 2010 is going to be even harder, but we see it as a great opportunity for growth and there will definitely be more acquisition news over the next 11 months.”
Richard Btesh, director at Chess Telecom, said: “Continued market consolidation means our list is always growing and our flexibility and reputation enables us to approach increasingly significant targets. 2010 is going to be an exciting and challenging year for all of us at Chess.”
