Midwich turns to HannSpree

Distributor adds to display portfolio

Midwich has inked a deal with HannSpree, a subsidiary of Taiwanese panel manufacturer HannStar, for its full range of LCD TVs.

The vendor is well known for its quirky and unusual looking sets, which include TVs shaped like footballs.

“We recognised that we had a gap in our portfolio for a more specialised, niche brand,” said Lee Baker, business manager for displays at Midwich. “HannSpree products are different [to other products in the market]. For this reason, we are sure they will appeal to our resellers.”

Martin Kent, UK and Northern Europe territory manager at HannSpree, told CRN: “The monitor part of our business – HannsG – has Ingram Micro and Micro Peripherals as its distributors. Although both distributors have access to the HannSpree TVs, we felt we needed to increase our distribution network as we had expanded our product set.”
