Systems integrator Icomm Techno-logies has just completed an £80,000 installation contract for the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT), and has been awarded further work by the Association.
The contract involved Midlands-based Icomm upgrading NASUWT’s national IT network, including the union’s Birmingham head office.
Leigh Smith, NASUWT’s head of IT, said: “We identified the need to update our legacy systems to coincide with our own internal growth, as our existing network was getting quite tired and taking a long time to upload. We originally approached Icomm in the middle of last year, and have been delighted to work with them in the implementation of this project.
“From the original concept to the ultimate installation, Icomm’s technical knowledge has been crucial in ensuring a smooth transition from the old systems to the new.”
Ian Callens, sales manager at Icomm, added: “The NASUWT contract was a great win for us and comes on the back of our most successful 12 -month period to date, during which we posted a year-on-year growth of 31 per cent.”
Icomm is a Microsoft Gold Certified partner and offers a range of services including IT helpdesk support, computer maintenance, networking, configuration, web design, database development, IT training and consultancy.
“We’ve just been awarded a contract for BA Cargo Citrix support, worth around £10,000,” Callens told CRN.
