Recently launched VAR is boosting its accreditation tally as it looks to win share of CRM market

Jonathan Bullen: There is definitely opportunity for Smart IT as more firms look to cut costs

Startup consultancy and integrator Smart IT is aiming for aggressive growth
in the UK market in its first year in business.

The Lancashire-based firm launched recently with 10 full-time staff, who have a variety of accreditations under their belts from previous jobs, including ones from vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, Veritas and Watchguard.

However, it is keen to grow headcount as customer demand increases.

Jonathan Bullen, managing director of Smart IT, said the company is focusing on the CRM space with particular strengths in Microsoft .Net skills and is also working on delivering a cloud offering.

“We have a very strong infrastructure business including servers, networking and WAN, and our technology has strong capabilities in the ecommerce, Microsoft, .Net and CRM areas.

“The team is very experienced and we are working on a number of accreditations. We have some good clients that have worked with us for years and we are confident of growing the business,” he said.

“There is definitely opportunity for Smart IT as more firms look to cut costs and improve performance.”
