Panda hardens its channel

Vendor looks to sign up a dedicated channel for its growing appliance based product set

Security vendor Panda is looking to set up an appliance-focused channel in the UK.

The firm has recently launched its unified threat management (UTM) appliance family GateDefender Integra, which it has claimed provides centralised, all-in-one perimeter protection against all internet-borne threats. As a result the firm is looking to sign a network of distributors and resellers to help it broaden its share of the appliance market.

Mark Watkinson, UK country manager at Panda said: “The appliance sector is growing very quickly, with many large corporate organisations looking for reliable perimeter protection that can adapt to the requirements of their networks.

“We are keen to service this market through specialist resellers who will understand our solutions, and the most likely route to the channel is through an established distributor. We would like to talk to experienced appliance distributors, or networking distributors who recognise that a move into the appliance sector could prove lucrative, and we are willing to offer great margins.”
