VAR clinches IT support contract at City of London's tallest building

Scaling new heights: Fabric will be responsible for Tower 42 in London's IT infrastructure

Financial services-specialised VAR Fabric Technologies has clinched an IT maintenance and support contract at London's tallest skyscraper Tower 42.

Fabric will be responsible for upgrading Tower 42’s IT estate, deploying a new email archiving system and providing helpdesk support to the building's inhabitants.

Misha Gopaul, chief executive of Fabric Technologies, said: “Our commitment is to helping the management team at Tower 42 maximise their client service levels and for businesses based there to benefit directly from the improvements we are implementing.”

As well as overhauling the building's IT infrastructure, Fabric also intends to help Tower 42 dwellers embrace new technology trends by hosting a series of seminars over the coming year.

Each will focus on a specific area of business technology, with the topics including unified communications and cloud computing.

“Our series of seminars will show customers how these solutions can create real differentiation with very short timescales of return on investment,” added Gopaul.
