Microsoft set to talk to Lars over pricing problem

Microsoft is holding a briefing for its direct Lars on 14 March to iron out any difficulties caused by changes to its Select pricing process.

The software vendor threw the channel into confusion last month after it changed the format of Select and issued the wrong prices by mistake.

Microsoft caused the disruption after moving its price-generating process from the US to Ireland before Christmas without warning channel partners.

One dealer said: ?We have been hammering on Microsoft?s door because we are worried about the long-term implications of these changes. We want to meet them face to face. Phone calls and emails are not enough.? One channel partner was annoyed. ?Why change something if it?s not broken??
