Time guilty of copying i-desk

Judge condemns vendor for behaving 'disgacefully'

Time Computers has been found guilty of copying and passing off an integrated PC desk designed by i-desk Solutions.

An injunction has been granted to i-desk that prevents Time from selling or supplying its own desk, and Time has to pay i-desk £200,000 in interim costs.

Summing up the case, presiding judge Mr Justice Patten said Time had copied i-desk and acted "disgracefully" in passing off its product, known as the 'ice-desk'.

I-desk's managing director, Patrick Winterbotham, said: "We knew we had right on our side. We can now eliminate all the confusion that Time has caused."

Despite requests, Time did not respond to CRN at the time of going to press.
