Hammer urges VARs to snap up free EDR
Distributor teams up with Overland to offer free enterprise data replicator software with each Snap server sale
Free gift: Snap EDR is free of charge with the purchase of a Snap Server
Storage distributor Hammer has teamed up with vendor partner Overland Storage to offer the channel Snap Enterprise Data Replicator software (Snap EDR) free of charge with the purchase of a new Snap Server.
Resellers purchasing new Snap Server 650, 620, 410, 210 or 110 from Hammer qualify for the extra data replication software solution, up until 25 September.
The EDR data protection software suite allows users to securely move, manage and protect local and remote data.
Snap Servers enable a customer to scale from 1.2TB to 85.2TB of storage capacity with the ability to mix SAS and SATA.
David Spate, sales and marketing director for EMEA disk solutions at Overland Storage, said: “Overland Storage strives to offer our partners great technology solutions like the Snap Server NAS series. By including Enterprise Data Replicator software we make an incredibly compelling offer for our VARs.”
Jason Beeson, solutions director at Hammer said, “Our VARs can be sure of raising even more interest in the already popular Overland NAS storage range. The free addition of EDR makes a persuasive reason for end users to upgrade to SNAP immediately.”
In addition, both Overland and Hammer are offering 20 free pieces of LTO-3 or LTO-4 media for each NEO or NEO-E Series LTO-3 or LTO-4 add-on drive purchased, and 400 tape slots for free when a Neo 8000 with 100 slots is purchased.
