Compel swells ranks of Globalserve allies

Compel has become the UK?s sole reseller member of an international alliance to compete against multinational operations being put together by GE Capital and other acquisitive companies.

The Globalserve alliance is an international organisation made up of independent corporate resellers. Only one reseller per country is permitted to join. Other members include Compucom in the US, Infopoint in France and ADA Das System Haus in Germany. Compel has been working with the Globalserve organisation since late 1996, but has only now been given full approval to join the alliance.

Compel chairman and CEO Neville Davis said the member companies were all committed to providing high levels of service to major corporate customers. ?There is an increasing trend toward global service provision, this is where the likes of GE Capital are going with their acquisition plans. We believe Globalserve members can surpass their levels of service.?

Members of Globalserve can become a single point of contact for customers with international requirements. There are 30 reseller members in Globalserve in 35 different countries. Their combined turnover is estimated to be in the region of $5 billion.
