Midwich helps Elonex to launch programme
Distributor appointed to oversee firm's first partner strategy
Distributor Midwich has been appointed by Elonex to help the system builder launch its first partner programme.
Elonex is planning to recruit a number of VARs to become accredited Media Center development partners.
Charlotte Ayres, UK channel sales manager at Elonex, told CRN: “This is the first Elonex partner programme. It has been built in partnership with Midwich to ensure success, continued market growth and information flow to our partners. Midwich is our exclusive distributor for the SME market.
“We want VARs that sell AV [audiovisual] equipment, because our Digital Home range has a direct fit in this market. The Elonex products will complement their products.”
Midwich started selling Elonex’s Media Center PCs in January 2005.
Mark Lowe, product manager at Midwich’s Home Entertainment division, said: “The digital home is a massive growth market. Last year was great for both Midwich and Elonex. We are now the sole distributor of the Elonex Media Center range.
“Now is the time for VARs to become affiliated with Elonex through Midwich. The benefits of the Elonex partner programme include free demonstration units and onsite training from a member of the Elonex development team.”
Darren Lewitt, divisional director at Midwich, said: “The idea of the programme is for us to recruit a select number of VARs that want to work in the digital home environment. It’s a very fast-growing market. We want between 30 and 50 resellers signed up by the end of May.”
The announcement was made at Midwich’s Hi-Technology event, held during last week.
