Review held in Powermark fraud case
Alleged fraudsters to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 19 April
Five men charged with conspiracy to defraud a number of businesses, including Elstree reseller Powermark, which went into receivership three years ago, are due to go on trial at Sheffield Crown Court on 19 April.
However, the date could change following a review this week.
Christopher Fox, Saleem Akhtar Kiani, Mohammed Ismail, William Lane and Rabnawaz Khan made their first court appearance on 23 September 2002, following a lengthy investigation by the Serious Fraud Office.
The five are alleged to have set up several firms, including Blue View Investment, to carry out their fraudulent activities.
Because the case is on-going, no one from the Serious Fraud Office could comment.
