Profit warning hits Computerland

Computerland's share price dropped by a third following the issue of a profit warning. Shares dropped 51.5p to 160p after an unexpected fall in product sales during December and January, forcing the reseller to reduce its profit forecast from #1.7 million to #1 million.

Critics question Dell/Intel alliance The relationship between Dell and Intel has been called into question following the direct PC vendor's announcement that it is to release engineering workstations including two Intel microprocessors for the same price as rivals' single microprocessor workstations. Rivals claim that the chip giant offers Dell more favourable pricing due to its ability to sell the latest and most profitable chips.
