VCW boosted with £5m investment
Value-added distributor claims it is on track with five-year plan to smash £30m turnover and double the size of the company
Security and networking distributor VoiceComms Warehouse has secured a £5m cash injection to help grow the business.
The Shropshire-based firm has announced plans to use the cash to create specialist umbrella companies within the group, such as VCW Security, which will focus on distributing technology from vendors such as Fortinet and Allied Telesis.
It will also enable the company to add more vendors to its portfolio and reduce reliance on its existing suppliers.
According to the firm, it is ahead of its target of achieving £30m in turnover during its first five years of trading since the inception of VCW Security.
This will be achieved by increasing services, building on vendor relationships, investing in emerging technologies, recruiting specialist staff and good account management, the firm said.
Mike Harris, chairman of VCW, said: “VCW is a financially strong parent business. Through investment and organic growth, our ambition is to create specialist companies offering unrivalled levels of service and support. VCW will put the confidence back in the market.
“Investing in the company during difficult times allows us to safeguard our 20 members of staff and will help create many new jobs in the Shropshire area. Our aim is to double the company over the next 18 months and secure the long-term survival of VCW.”
