NVT calls on Inclarity
Scottish support specialist ditches acquisition plans after inking partnership with Inclarity
Services and support specialist NVT Group has partnered with communications services firm Inclarity to help plug a gap in the Scottish hosted voice over IP (VoIP) market.
The agreement means NVT Group can offer telephony to its existing and potential business customers for the first time. Particular target markets include SMEs and the public sector.
Stephen Park Brown, NVT Group’s managing director, said: “We had been looking at buying several voice providers, but a partnership with Inclarity offered us the best fit and the right model for our customers. The hosted model is seriously attractive when compared to traditional telephony systems, and Inclarity’s solution is the most solid we’ve seen in terms of its robust infrastructure and quality of service.
He added: “Scotland is behind the curve of the rest of the UK in terms of adoption of VoIP. However, we have a very entrepreneurial culture and hosted VoIP is exactly the kind of technology backbone businesses need in order for Scotland to attract and sustain inward investment. Renting is a model we all understand – it’s all about reducing expenditure on capital.”
Steve Day, channel director at Inclarity, added: “There is no rocket science in this. Hosted VoIP is the most cost-effective way for businesses to purchase telephony while adding value such as the ability to offer staff flexible working options. This partnership with NVT Group is a significant step forward in our expansion plans for Inclarity in 2008.”
