F-Secure bolsters distribution line up
Security vendor signs distribution partnerships with Eire-based Espion and retail specialst Realtime
Security vendor F-Secure has revealed its latest additions to its distribution stable in the form of Espion and Realtime.
The vendor claims the new relationships, one of which was signed late last year, and the other in January 2008, will help it gain more traction in the Irish market and the retail space.
Huntingdon-based Realtime Distribution is branching into security for the first time with F-Secure, and the deal will see it offer F-Secure's products as an OEM and through boxed product sales to retail customers.
Espion, based in Ireland, is solely focused on security offerings for business. The partnership will enable it to fill a gap in its portfolio for an internet security offering.
Jim Lehane, representative from Espion, said: "We are able to use our local market knowledge to ensure that F-Secure's solutions are readily available to the people who need them to keep their networks and data secure. F-Secure’s approach and the strength of its technology make it a great addition to our portfolio, and we’re looking forward to contributing to its success across Ireland.”
Julie Darrington, purchasing director at Realtime, added: “As a focused, niche distributor our portfolio contains only best of breed products, so we chose F-Secure for its proven approach, research expertise and technology. The systems integrators we work with are keen to include F-Secure in their offerings, and we have already seen substantial volume [sales].”
Richard Hales, country manager at F-Secure UK and Ireland, believes these new partners set up the company for success in 2008 and beyond. “The early indications are that both distributors are a great addition to our business,” he said.
“We know there is demand from end users for our technology, and now getting their hands on everything from F-Secure Internet Security for home users to our managed security solutions for businesses is much easier for resellers and end users alike. We’re already seeing the fruits of both partnerships, and look forward to continued success in 2008.”
