A large number of quality products hitting the streets within days of each other has been blamed for causing disappointing sales for each individual title. The culprits include Steve Davis' Snooker and Descent 2 from Interplay; Zork Nemesis and Spy Craft from Activision; Terra Nova from Virgin; and Kingdom O Magic by Sales Curve Interactive. Centresoft buying director Roger Swindells said the software glut put immense pressure on retail and distribution.
