Toasting success: Nimans has hailed its first foray in the software market
Two months into its partnership with vendor Swyx, distributor Nimans has claimed its first sortie into the software arena has been a resounding success so far.
The Manchester-based distributor indicated its reseller base is being won over by fact that the Swyxware product does not directly conflict with other vendor products in its portfolio. Nimans' Swyx business manager Lynette Smith claimed orders for the first two month were comfortably above target as resellers appreciated being able to add a new string to their bow.
“We have done a lot of ground work in the channel and it is already paying off. There has been massive interest across the whole of the UK," said Smith.
"We have been very encouraged by the speed of uptake. There has been a massive response especially to our sales and technical training. We are just going into month three and we have literally been swept off our feet, exceeding all expectations and the response is growing all the time.
“One of the key messages for us is that Swyx complements our overall system range. Although Swyx can be similar to some other brands, it sits comfortably within a dealer’s portfolio and allows them to reach out to more customers as each different platform has its own strengths.”
