BlueCat on the prowl for partners

Canadian vendor hunts EMEA resellers to meet booming demand for its IP address management platforms

Enterprise-class IP address management (IPAM) platforms vendor BlueCat Networks has announced ambitious plans to expand its global channel over the coming months.

Due to increased demand of its ProteusT IPAM solution and AdonisT family of DNS/DHCP appliances, BlueCat claims it will double its European base of six partners within the next four weeks and double it again over the next three months.

The Canada-based vendor aims to recruit global technology providers, brand-name systems integrators, and a top-tier portfolio of national and regional technology resellers.

The programme will comprise four tiers in total including regional distributors, premium VARs, advance VARs and select VARs.

Alan Wise, managing director for EMEA of BlueCat, said: “Partners have to be lab certified on network configuration and change management, which we provide all the training and tests for. We are really focusing on businesses that need their legacy spreadsheet applications replaced.”

Joseph Belsanti, director of marketing at BlueCat, said: “BlueCat would ideally like 75-100 partners in the next few months, with about 50 per cent of them in EMEA.

“There has been an explosion in the IPAM market and we can better serve our customers if we increase our local partners.”
