Damovo warns of security risk
VARs should be taking telephony fraud more seriously
Telephony fraud should be taken seriously, says Damovo
UK firms are failing to take the security of their telephony networks as seriously as that of their data networks, VAR Damovo has warned.
According to research commissioned by the integrator, 61 per cent of organisations with more than 400 employees have incurred losses exceeding £5,000 from telephony fraud. However, just 46 per cent of them had carried out a telephony audit in the past 18 months.
Nick Dean, managing director of Damovo UK, said: “As well as financial losses, security breaches are very real possibilities if the same attention that is given to the data network is not given to voice.”
