Rocela acquires Incisus to bolster Oracle sales

Edinburgh-based VAR hints at further acquisitions to come following completion of latest deal

Independent Oracle reseller, Rocela, has acquired fellow Oracle partner, Incisus, in a transfer of shares deal.

Edinburgh-based Rocela has acquired Incisus’ entire operation while retaining all of its 10 employees.

Martin Mutch, chief executive of Rocela, told CRN: “Rocela is nearly five years old and through organic growth alone we have expanded into a £20m turnover business. We’re now looking to grow further through acquisition and Incisus is the first company we’ve purchased.”

Rocela and Incisus have worked together over the past few years on numerous large projects so already had the basis of a good working relationship, Mutch explained.

“Incisus’ relevant business knowledge, technical excellence, product knowledge and proven project experience is an excellent fit for Rocela as we expand and grow,” he said.

“Incisus was seen as a good fit by Rocela because it is run by former Oracle managers, just like Rocela, and has a six-year track record of specialising in the implementation, development, upgrade and support of Oracle solutions – with a focus on the Oracle eBusiness Suite and related Oracle technologies.”

Stewart Gabriel, a founding director of Incisus, said: “Rocela has really taken the Oracle world by storm over the last four years and we are delighted at becoming part of such an ambitious and successful company. Its plans for expansion and growth are very clear and the Incisus team and I look forward to playing our part in the Rocela success story.”

Alan Hartwell, vice-president for technology at Oracle, said: “It is good news that two successful Oracle partners have decided to merge together. They’ll gain strength from each other.”

In September, Rocela opened its first overseas branch in Singapore and plans to grow in Singapore through acquisitions.
