Linksys One targets SMEs
Vendor aims to plug gap in Cisco's portfolio with latest product release
Linksys is hoping its recent SME release will fill the void in networking giant Cisco's current portfolio.
The Cisco owned division reworked its channel programme with the launch of the Linksys One programme that included a range of SME-focused IP platform and voice products.
David Kelly, EMEA sales director at Linksys, said: "It is positive for resellers as they now have the one stop solution they have been looking for."
"We will attract a new set of resellers that have been selling voice and data together. The feedback from VARs is strong as they can operate in a new market, " he said.
Kelly said the programme was being trialled in the US with a tailored EMEA package expected by the middle of next year.
"This is a joint Cisco and Linsksys venture. We are bringing Cisco technology into one solution for our channel to market. There is a huge market in the SMB space and you need to offer an integrated solution at enterprise standard for a SMB price," he said.
Kelly adds that VARs and the channel will have the ability to go back to the customer and create new revenue streams while creating on-going business.
Nathan Mark, sales and marketing director, at Cisco and Linksys reseller Prime Business Solutions, said: "We offer Linksys as a tailored solution and it provides good price, with lots of functions and fills a hole for the Cisco products."
