WStore acquisition 'will not be the last'

Reseller buys Quickdata for undisclosed sum

Online corporate reseller WStore has made its first acquisition of the year and announced that it is planning more in the near future.

The company has bought Maidenhead-based stationery and consumables supplier Quickdata for an undisclosed sum.

Quickdata has been trading for around 12 years and specialises in products from vendors such as Brother, Canon, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Epson and Kyocera Mita.

The firm also supplies a range of office stationery, and boasted a turnover of around £1.3m last year.

Tony Price, managing director at WStore UK, confirmed that Quickdata will continue to trade as a separate business until the end of June when it will be fully integrated with WStore UK.

"Quickdata is a good fit for us due to its size and its market knowledge," he said.

WStore had been planning a UK acquisition for the past year and will be looking to make more.

"This acquisition gives us rapid entry into the consumables market thanks to Quickdata's customer base and the expertise it has developed over the years," he said, adding that it was an "important move" for WStore.
