Northamber rolls out Sherry barrel
Paul Sherry, the former main board director at Frontline, has returned to the industry after five months' holiday, with a senior management position at Northamber.
Sherry, who joined the Chessington-based distributor last week, will begin by working on a couple of projects for managing director Henry Matthews. 'I may move into line management in due course,' he said. 'But it is a little premature to say what this might be.' Sherry says he is joining Northamber because 'it is a company on the up, and I enjoy working with growth firms'.
Sherry worked at Frontline for five years, during which he ran the company's networking business and latterly managed the company's entry into the retail business.
He left Frontline last year following a disagreement over management style with joint MDs Graeme Watt and Allan Mack. Sherry declined to comment on the reason for his departure, but said: 'It is well known that I was associated with Mark Mulford's style of running the company.' He concluded: 'I've had a very nice time on holiday and wandering the world, but now it is good to be back.'
