Voluntary liquidation for VAR
TWC Systec enters into voluntary creditors' liquidation
Essex-based software VAR/distributor TWC Systec has gone into liquidation following a meeting of creditors.
The company, which trades as Infinite Global Solutions, had 20 staff and premises throughout Essex.
Amanda Price, of insolvency firm Begbies Traynor, is handling the liquidation and will attempt to sell TWC's assets.
"TWC Systec entered into voluntary creditors' liquidation after a meeting on 12 January," she said. Price added that various factors had led to the move but declined to comment further.
Alan Norton, head of intelligence at credit rating firm Graydon, said that January and February are tough months for resellers.
"This is a high-risk period for the industry when people get products on credit before Christmas and cannot pay for them after," he said.
TWC was involved in a dispute with Microsoft over counterfeit software, which was settled over 18 months ago. Alex Hilton, Microsoft's licence compliance group manager, said this has no connection with TWC's current status.
"Like other creditors, we are in touch with the liquidators," he said.
