QoLcom bags two wireless contracts
South Bank University and Chester Zoo select reseller to roll out Trapeze wireless solution
Wireless reseller QoLcom has hit the ground running in 2008 with two early contract wins with vendor partner Trapeze Networks.
QoLcom has announced that both London South Bank University and Chester Zoo have selected it to implement Trapeze’s Smart Mobile wireless network solution.
QoLcom has already begun work on the first phase of the South Bank University deal, which will involve the installation of 115 new wireless access points throughout the university campus. Later phases will encompass work at the university’s remote campuses at Whipps Cross and Havering.
Wojtek Adamek, director of ICT at London South Bank University, said: “The Trapeze Networks equipment was selected following a pilot, which endorsed our view that this is the best hardware available to meet the needs of the university.
“LSBU have been impressed with the professionalism and commitment of QoLcom staff in undertaking the pilot and have requested that QoLcom complete the implementation of the wireless network.”
Chester Zoo also selected QoLcom to deploy an external zoo-wide rollout of Trapeze’s technology. The VAR will provide a ubiquitous wireless environment for the entire estate, which the zoo hopes will enhance the experience of its visitors and provide VoIP services for staff zoo-wide.
