Merger wipes out Itso

Distributor merges with Winfrasoft

Itso IT has become the latest distributor to hang up its boots after merging with one of its vendor partners.

Itso was founded by former Azlan and e92plus director James Maunder in October. But after parting company with its main vendor, Celestix, the distributor has taken a 50 per cent stake in Winfrasoft in a move that spells the end of the Itso brand.

Maunder is now managing director of Winfrasoft, which makes add-on software for ISA servers, including back-up and VPN packages.

Steven Hope, technical director at Winfrasoft said: “What we were missing as an organisation was a route to market. Itso was the missing piece of the jigsaw.”

Maunder said Winfrasoft would appoint distributors across Europe to target Websense resellers.
