IMagic server

Interactive Magic is planning to launch a UK server for its IMagic Online gaming site later this month. IMagic said it was one of 'several aggressive plans to expand IMagic presence into Europe'. Until it goes live, European online games players will have to log onto the IMagic site on the company's server in the US.

Japanese reports claimed that Lucent and NEC are to work together to produce system chips aimed at the telecommunications and consumer markets.

Under the arrangement, NEC will license its DRAM design technology to Lucent while the chips will be fabbed at NEC factories.
