PatchLink completes SecureWave acquisition

Two vendors complete all stock merger

Vulnerability management vendor PatchLink has completed its all stock merger with SecureWave.

The firms first mooted the deal late last month, in a move that PatchLink claimed would benefit both firms' channel partners by creating the industry's first security platform for unified protection and control of servers and end point (CRN, 29 June).

Patrick Clawson, chief executive of PatchLink, said: "This merger opens a new and exciting chapter in PatchLink's history and positions the company as one of the largest, privately held information security companies in the world. This new structure successfully expands our geographic footprint, consolidates enterprise-class solutions and helps us grow our revenue."

“As we to drive greater innovation to shape and define the future of our industry, we will continue to build on our heritage of delivering world class customer service and best-of-breed product portfolio that will enhance and protect our customers’ enterprise data and IT assets.”

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
