Bond and the Iron Lady show it?s good to talk

Former prime minister and lecture tour show queen Margaret Thatcher is the woman US men would most like to ring up ? and Sean Connery is the man with whom most US women would like to chat.

BT?s potential partner MCI is offering Americans a chance to make friends in the UK for 12 cents a minute and carried out a survey of who they would most like to talk to.

Thatcher was chosen by 54 per cent of the men surveyed. She was followed by supermodel Naomi Campbell, with 16 per cent. UK actresses Emma Thompson and Elizabeth Hurley were chosen by 12 per cent and eight per cent respectively.

Among the women surveyed, Connery grabbed 48 per cent of responses. John Major was mentioned by 17 per cent and Hugh Grant by 12 per cent. Recording artist Seal got four per cent.
