Compuserve's stocking filler is under a tenner

Compuserve has produced a u9.95 stocking filler for PC owners who want to start exploring the internet.

The Internet Access Pack comprises a CD of net-relevant software, a booklet explaining how to get started, and a copy of the book The UK Compuserve Guide.

Rob Connell, Compuserve's retail manager, said: "There's not much you can buy for under u10 in a PC store. It's an ideal gift for anyone with a computer and I expect a lot of people will be unwrapping one on Christmas morning and firing off emails around the world while the turkey is in the oven!"

The software on the CD includes the Compuserve internet access software; the Netscape Internet Browser; Home page Wizard, with which users can create their own web site; and trial versions of Internet Phone and Lotus Smart Suite.

The Compuserve Internet Access Pack is available from Gem, Ingram Micro, Merisel, and Centresoft.
