Former Azlan director Ed Arnett has left his post of managing director at networking distributor InterQuad Group.

InterQuad is now headed by Christian Martin, a former chief executive of Azlan. Martin has been non-executive chairman since 1999.

Sean Fane, general manager of InterQuad Systems, said Arnett decided to step down after achieving the goal of restoring the company to profitability.

"Ed joined us three years ago to take us through a difficult phase when we were trading well, but costs were too high and we weren't making money," he said. "After achieving this he has decided to leave to pursue new interests."

The company has seen 50 per cent growth over the last year and is currently signing resellers to sell security, Wap and XML data products from new vendor partners.

Fane said: "We have increased our reseller partners from 60 to over 400, and a lot of our reseller activities revolve around our new vendor partners such as Nokia and Software AG."
