Azlan Training sale finalised
Tech Data completes sale to Global Knowledge
The sale of Tech Data’s Azlan Training arm to Global Knowledge has been completed, as predicted by CRN last week (CRN, 13 March).
The acquisition will result in Global Knowledge becoming the largest Cisco Learning Solutions Partner, and largest Microsoft Certified Partner for Learning Solutions in Europe, Global Knowledge claimed.
Bob Lewis, managing director of Global Knowledge EMEA, said: “We are not looking to change Azlan a great deal. It is a very successful business in its own right and we want to sustain that. We have not made any redundancies. From a customer perspective, it is business as normal.”
Lewis added that the Azlan Training name will eventually be phased out and the company will operate under the Global Knowledge brand.
Andy Gass, senior vice-president of Azlan EMEA, told CRN: “We decided that the training arm was no longer a good strategic fit for our distribution business, but we will still keep in very close contact with the business.”
