Ingram Micro Europe appointed to fuel Oracle's SME drive
Broadliner widens existing distribution agreement with software giant in UK and German markets
Ingram Micro Europe has signed a distribution agreement with software giant Oracle to push its products further into the UK and German SME markets.
The broadliner already works with Oracle in Spain and the US, but the new deal will give its UK and German reseller base immediate access to Oracle’s database and middleware technologies including Oracle Database 10g and Oracle Fusion Middleware.
In addition Ingram will start recruiting SME resellers in both markets to sell Oracle technology, and will offer pre-sales support, technical work shops, marketing and training programmes, as well as help with Oracle-Partner certification.
Peter van den Berg, vice president business development at Ingram Micro Europe said: “We are excited that Oracle has appointed two of our European flagship countries; UK and Germany, as VAD partners. Oracle is an important addition to our value added products offering and their technology represents new opportunities and revenue streams for our customer base.”

Stein Surlien, vice president alliances and channels at Oracle EMEA said: “The VAD channel is a key element of our strategy to continue increasing our sales to SMEs in EMEA. Ingram Micro can help us achieve scale in this sector, and will initially engage in the UK and Germany, two key markets for Oracle. Ingram Micro will drive programmatic partner recruitment and development campaigns and focus on Oracle database and middleware products, which give their channel partners the best solutions for price/performance and ease of implementation.”
