Intact split dispels reseller concerns
Channel services firm says separation from Logicalis "eradicates" perceived conflict with reseller customers
Channel services firm Intact Integrated Services has said its split from Logicalis Group will banish perceptions of a conflict of interest.
Intact was originally set up as part of Logicalis UK, but became a separate subsidiary last year. Logicalis’ parent company Datatec has now assumed a majority share in the services firm, with Intact’s management team also investing.
Intact managing director Bob Dalton said the deal would dispel any reservations Logicalis’ rivals had about working with his company. “We have always had to overcome perceived conflict,” he said. “That is now completely eradicated.”
Intact has joined Analysys Mason in Datatec’s consulting operations arm. Dalton stressed the two firms would retain autonomous brands. “There are areas where we can work together,” he said. “We will now be able to do that more effectively.”
Peter Titmus, managing director of support services firm Networks First, said: “Intact has a good operation. This brings greater clarity to what it is doing.”
